Amazon FTC Settlement.
Millions of Amazon Prime members still have a narrow window to claim their portion of the Federal Trade Commission's $2.5 billion settlement regarding deceptive enrollment tactics. The settlement stems from allegations that Amazon used "dark patterns" to trick users into subscriptions that were difficult to cancel.
If you signed up for Prime between June 23, 2019, and June 23, 2025, through a "Challenged Enrollment Flow," you might be eligible for a refund of up to $51. While automatic payments were sent to some users in late 2025, others must submit a claim form to receive payment. The deadline to file your claim is July 27, 2026. You can check your eligibility or file a claim through the official settlement website. Beware of scams; neither the FTC nor Amazon will ask for a fee to process your payment
